Preparation for Immersions

Schedule Immersion

Each immersion begins long before arrival... in the quiet decision to say yes to remembrance.

The Sanctuary is not a retreat, but a living field where healing happens through simplicity, presence, and truth. There is nothing to prepare beyond your willingness to be here, as you are. When you cross the threshold, the field will meet you... already knowing what you came to remember.

Preparing for Your Immersion

Arrive as you are. The Sanctuary meets you there.

Each immersion is a living experience... not a retreat or a class, but a shared remembering. You’re stepping into the daily rhythm of life at the Sanctuary, where healing happens through presence, conversation, stillness, and simple acts of care.

There’s no performance here, no itinerary, and no pressure to “do” anything.

Immersions are one way to enter the Sanctuary field... alongside Sanctuary Access, activation ceremonies, and Activation Journeys... all sharing the same current of remembrance.

Immersion experiences typically take place on the back porch. However, you may choose to help tend the gardens, spend time with the sanctuary animals, or simply sit on the back porch in remembrance.

Afternoons often bring gentle work, writing, beach walks, or quiet reflection.

Evenings may include a fire ceremony with Elmer the Dragon, moon meditations, or shared conversation beneath the stars.

Nothing is required... everything is invited.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable clothing suited for Florida’s shifting weather

  • A light jacket or wrap for beach mornings or porch evenings

  • Your own journal or notebook (there are no workbooks here)

  • Any personal medicines or toiletries

  • Sandals or shoes that can handle both sand and soil

Optional but welcome:

  • musical instruments
  • small sacred items
  • crystals you feel called to bring

What Not to Bring

  • Substances or alcohol... the Sanctuary is a clear field
  • Heavy expectations or the need for constant activity
  • The urge to compare your journey to anyone else’s
  • Work obligations or devices that distract from presence

The Animals

You’ll share the Sanctuary with Chloe, Bo, Aston (canine keepers), Cookie (parrot), and Comet (betta fish).

They live here full-time, so please plan accordingly if you have allergies.

Each being here carries its own field of healing... please move slowly, and ask before engaging.

Mindset & Presence

This is not a vacation... it’s a step outside ordinary reality.

During your immersion, we may talk deeply, laugh loudly, or sit together in complete stillness. We may remember forgotten stories or rediscover simple joy in making tea. The field moves as it wants to move, and together we follow it.

Bring openness, curiosity, and respect... for yourself, for me, for the animals, and for the land that holds us.

Departure & Integration

The time you reserve is yours... if you need to arrive later or leave earlier, simply let me know, and we’ll plan around your schedule.

Please note that immersions are not pro-rated, and dates cannot be adjusted once your time is set.

Leaving the Sanctuary doesn’t mean leaving the work.

You’ll carry what you’ve remembered into your daily life, where it continues to unfold long after you’ve gone home.

Before you come, please read the [Arrival Practice], the Sanctuary’s simple entry ceremony for all who cross the threshold.

The Sanctuary doesn’t prepare you for the world... it helps the world remember you.
